That's right. We decided to go for it and attempt going to the Easter Vigil with a two-year-old this year. And not just any two-year-old. Our two-year-old who never stops talking or moving. He did amazingly well- we didn't have to take him outside at all during the entire four hours, he got super excited about singing the Gloria and the Alleluia, and during the last half hour of the vigil he actually stopped moving and just laid in my arms...an Easter miracle. Here are some pictures of our little man all dressed up for Mass:
And this morning, despite the extremely late bedtime, he was up at 7am ready to check out his Easter basket and find all his Easter eggs...
...which lead to a massive sugar high all day.
Which was actually very cute when he was running around yelling, "Jesus Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!!!" at the top of his lungs.
Happy Easter!
