Last week, our case manager from our adoption agency asked the staff in Ethiopia to see if they could get the regional government to make an exception for Ana Luisa, due to medical concerns, and process the final letter that we needed for her paperwork to be submitted to the courts. Our pediatrician wrote a letter saying that it was important for the adoption process to be able to proceed as quickly as possible, and we sent it over at the end of last week.
Apparently it worked, because I just got an email from our case manager saying that they were able to get the letter, and are going to ask for a rush on our court date!!! Court dates are currently being assigned about 4-5 weeks after a child's paperwork is submitted to the courts, so please pray that they are able to rush ours. It is such a relief to know that the adoption process is moving again! Praise God!

We're so glad to hear this good news! Hopefully we'll meet Ana Luisa before too much longer...
