We've been home since Friday afternoon. The four of us are doing well...mom and dad are a bit sleep deprived but happy to be back in the land where it is ok when your two year old drinks water from the bathtub before you can stop him, Juan Pablo has just as much energy as usual and is loving being a big brother, and Ana Luisa is slowly but surely adjusting to her new family and home. We have a lot to say about our trip, but will be writing about it later, since we still have some settling in to do...for now though, the picture above is us meeting Ana Luisa for the first time. It's hard to believe that was only a week ago. It really feels as though she's been with us forever.

Congratulations! :) You have such a beautiful family!!!!
We are SO excited she is finally home with you!!! We continue to pray for your time of transition! (and we can TOTALLY understand the drinking the water in the bath tub thing! it isn't much fun)
Jeff and Ani, Congratulations! We are so happy for you. I can hardly believe this long wait is over, and you are home with Ana Luisa. We can't wait to meet her. I don't know if you are ready to think about this now, but I had a little girl in preschool this year who was adopted from Haiti when she was about 18 months old. she had a severe cleft palate(no roof to her mouth at all).
She has had several surgeries. She has a beautiful family and she is a beautiful (and active!) girl. If you would ever like to talk to her parents, I know they would love to meet you. Just tuck that info away somewhere...Pat Mierendorf
It has all worked out in the very best way ... Keith and I share your happiness and want you to know that you -- all four-- are in our thoughts and prayers as you build your lives together. Thank you for sharing this wonderful journal account of your adventures. What a remarkable family!
