Juan Pablo is loving school. LOVING it. So much so that he when we finish for the day he wants to do more work. He's always asking me what comes next and what we'll be learning the next few weeks. It's very cute. Jeff and I joke that if we actually did school at the pace that he wanted he would graduate from college at the age of twelve. Unfortunately, I can't quite keep up with his enthusiasm. With three young kids in the family, there are a lot of needs (demands?) to be met at any given time, so not doing school all day every day is just one of those compromises that he's going to have to make. Thankfully, he's doing a great job of creating his own "homework". I find scraps of paper all over the house, his own copies of projects and worksheets that we've done together. My favorite so far though, is this handwriting practice page he made when we learned the letter "L".
There are so many things I love about this: the lines he drew on the page and how crooked they are, the sheer number of L's he wrote, the letters at the beginning of each line that are darker, like the examples on his worksheets, and the dot at the top that shows where to put his pencil to start. I'm pretty sure he's the cutest Kindergartener ever.
And his sisters are pretty cute too.
